Please note:

*** (Outdoors) Indicates the the activities will be outside. Please make sure you're prepared with appropriate clothing (jackets, pants, gloves, and hat) to go outside. During Sunday's field trip, you'll be outside for most of the day. The other outdoor activities are for 30 minutes or so.

*** If the weather hinders our outdoor activities, I'll show you how to substitute the lessons indoors for just as much fun.

** The amount of walking is minimal, but you have to be physically capable of walking on unstable surfaces near the stream or lake.

* This is an interactive, outdoor workshop requiring movement. This is not for you if you want to sit in a chair and listen to lectures. As we know our students benefit from nature, movement, and science, I want you to feel comfortable and confident to do these activities with your students.

Real-World Science

to Engage Children

This workshop is for you if you want to take your science lessons to the next level. These are real experiments, data collection and observation tools biologists conduct.

The goal is for you to feel confident, comfortable, and have fun. This excitement and energy will transfer to your students.

Let's enjoy beautiful Colorado and its outdoors together!

"The child must learn by his own individual experience, and any science that he is to learn must be based on this experience."  Dr. Maria Montessori
